Light to Silicon

Email: tino.rublack(at)physik.uni-halle.de

Tino Rublack studied physics at the University of Hamburg from 2004 to 2008. From 2007 to 2008 he wrote his diploma thesis on front contacting silicon solar cells by laser light („Vorderseitenkontaktierung von Silizium-Solarzellen mit Hilfe von Laserlicht“) at the Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg. In 2009, he started to work as a senior scientist at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. During the course of his PhD, he investigated the selective ablation of dielectric layers on silicon by ultrashort laser pulses („Selektive Ablation von dielektrischen Schichten auf Silizium mittels ultrakurzer Laserimpulse“).

On January 1st 2012, the ZIK SiLi-nano® was able to recruit him as a senior scientist.
