Christian Paßlick is a PHD student at the Centre for Innovation Competence SiLi-nano (ZIK) since October 2009. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in physics at the University of Paderborn. The title of his master thesis was "Europium-doped fluorozirconate-based glasses for medical and photovoltaic applications." 

Besides his studies, Christian Paßlick worked as student assistant at the technology department of Hesse&Knipps Semiconductor Equipment. 

Currently his main field of research is the optical and structural analysis of fluorescent nanoparticles in glasses and glass ceramics.
